Hello and good day, I've been along time player of guild wars. I've played since the launch of the original one up until EoTN, where I stopped playing due to real life issues.
ALOT of time has passed since then, and I am now coming back into the game. If you guys would be so kind as to tell me all the major changes since the releasse of EoTn and now, I would greatly appreciate it.
I would use the internet, but the recent patch notes and what not do not apply to me as much as the major stuff would that would take some time to find via the internet search.

Well, the biggest change is that we know what we need for our Hall of Monuments to get rewards in GW2.

PvP scene has changed a lot. Team Arena and Hero Battles are gone, replaced by Codex Arena which apparently doesn't see a lot of action. The introduction of Zaishen Quests, which award Zaishen Coins -- can be traded in for very valuable stuff. Also, Nick the Traveler makes it easier to get titles or earn some money.

Shadow Form got nerfed (but not to hell). Ritualists got a huge boost (and now a lot of people are crying for a nerf). Mesmers are no longer useless.

If you've finished Prophecies/North, new content is available: War in Kryta. Adds new weapons (for your Hall), new minis, new hero, new lore to bridge GW1 to GW2. Next in this series of content will be in Cantha, which we are awaiting.
Though most of the community is probably more excited about the suggestion that players will soon ("early part of next year") be able to fill their parties with 7 heroes.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
